I love the comfort of dessert. It's a reliable daily ritual, where despite its continuity in my routine, it is never mundane. Whether it be a leftover slab of brownie one night, or a generous helping of ice-cream another, it's the small yet important everyday thrill I feel somewhat lost without.
In comparison, my work life (opposed to my dessert life) couldn't be more different. From travelling and working freelance, it is all slightly opposite to dessert, apart from the fact that work often involves food too... which really is the reason I do what I do.
Some days it's food styling, recipe testing, others it's shooting food, or even just tapping away in a café editing photos and attempting to conquer emails. It's never the same, which naturally, I love.
In a collaboration with Monsoon UK, I've shared what my day-to-day life looks like in Monsoon Magazine, as well as lunch time recipe tips and tricks from my cookbook Love Your Lunches. As I am an 'all about the comfort' type of worker, I'm wearing two of my favourite outfits from Monsoon that help me hop, skip and jump from job to job, or even stroll around the local park.
